My grandad Jack Taylor died on 11/05/07,he was 77 years old and had been retired for a number of years. He enjoyed his life to the full, his family being the main part of his life. My grandma Doris Taylor as been left behind feeling like a apart of her as gone with him as so do the rest of our very close family.I feel like i need to introduce myself, im Lindsay his only granddaughter, then there is my dad (Steve Taylor his son) my mum (Janet Taylor) and my brother (Ian Taylor), then there is his two great- grandchildren Jacob and Megan they were truly his world and would look at them and have a tear in his eyes. Needless to say his death has tore our famiy apart. As the first christmas is almost here we are all dreading the day however we also know that grandad was the main entertainment at our parties and there will be many a laugh and memory shared and also a afew tears.

hope you are ok. Life is plodding on down here, Jacob and Megs are 2 weeks into there summer holidays now and yes i cant wait till September ahah. Iwish you were here you would be entertaining them now making them gadgets and boats etc. Grandma as been great looking after them while ive worked im sure shes tired now though.

well its nearly a year ago that you left us and we are planning to do something special. We are going to the service at st Marks and then we will come to see you at the garden of rememberence (me and grandma have tidied it all up now that all the bad weather as gone). Hi grandad,its my birthday today and i cant believe that your not here to celebrate it with me. I also cant believe that this time last year we were celebrating my 30th birthday at the Three Crowns, it was then only a week later that you were took ill.Little did we know grandad that it was our last family meal together and of course Sue as gone as well now. I can remember the last conversation i had with you on that Friday afternoon as you looked after the children so that Simon on myself could have a night away to celebrate my b/day, and then that was it the terrible phone call that i recieved off my parents saying that i needed to come back as you had fallen ill. Everything from that moment as stuck in my mind and i know grandad you fought and fought for a further two weeks but it finally beat you on our wedding annivairsary.

hope you are ok, ive not much to tell you really,apart from Megans joined ballet and tap classes, i know i can hear you laughing she really enjoys it.
Jacob as got his class assembly next week and he as got a few lines to say, so help him with it grandad coz i know hes a little nervious. I know you will look down on him and have a tear in your eye like you always did with the kids.
They miss you so much grandad just like we all do and i promise you will never be forgotton, they still have photos of you near their bedside and Jacob as still got his framed jigsaw of the steam train that you did.

just come off the phone from grandma and she as just told me that auntie Doreen is coming over from Australia in October, im well chuffed. It will be strange but im pleased for grandma as she will have company as the winter returns. She is coming over for two weeks so im hoping it will be when Megs birthday is. i hope you are ok and that your having fun,

hope your ok and having fun with the angels, lots of yours and grandmas friends have joined you up there in heaven. Grandma keeps saying that your taking everyone up there with you.I wish you were here with us, everything is so different now that your gone.
I cant believe that it will be a year ago in May that you were took away from us and especially on our wedding annivaisary it will never be the same again.
I often think if you knew what was happenning that day and did you just give up you always used to say ive seen everything and of course you had a few years with your great-grandchildren which i know was the most important thing to you.
Well we all miss you terribly its so hard to see grandma going through everything that she does but trust me she attempts everything were before grandad when you were here you used to do it for her. We are very proud of her and i hope you are too.

thankyou for the lovely weather this weekend Jacob and Megan have had fun in the garden. We went to B&Q today and Jacob wanted to buy the sunflower seeds like last year and call one after you again which i thought was sweet, so of course we did !!!We need to plant them next month so make sure we have a good summer this year please !!!!
